This course is designed assist clinicians and providers in integrating information regarding the use of different types of modalities appropriately when treating their patients. The three types of modalities that will be reviewed in this course are Vibration Technology, Class 4 Laser, and Shockwave Therapy. This interactive, evidence-based, one day course includes lectures, case study analysis and hands-on labs/demos sampling different modality units.

Lectures cover biophysical principles, physiological/therapeutic effects, indications/contraindications, as well as dosimetric and application parameters. The appropriate selection and application of physical agents, based on the existing pathology, impairments, and functional limitations will be discussed, demonstrated, and performed by participants. This course is designed to prepare clinicians for safe and evidence-based usage of different types of modalities in the field of rehabilitation.
