Stefano Casadei, PT

Stefano Casadei received his degree in physiotherapy from the University of Bologna, “Alma Mater Studiorum,” in 2008 and is currently in private practice in Cesena, Italy. He attended the first course in Fascial Manipulation, taught by Luigi Stecco, PT and Carla Stecco, MD, in 2005.  He also studied Fascial Manipulation for Internal Dysfunctions in 2008 with Luigi Stecco, PT, Carla Stecco, MD and Antonio Stecco, MD.  Since then, he has used FM© as the only treatment for his patients and is a certified by the L’Associazione Manipolazione Fasciale to teach Fascial Manipulation©.

He has taught FM in Italy, Israel and South Africa and looks forward to teaching in the U.S.  He has lectured at the International Fascia Congress in 2009 and 2012 and the National Fascial Manipulation Conference in 2011. He also has conducted research in the”Treatment of Phantom-limb Pain According to the Fascial Manipulation Technique.” (INAIL – Centro Protesi Vigorso Institute, Bologna-italy).

Prior to starting his practice, Stefano was a physiotherapist for the Medoc: Sport and Work Medicine Institute in Italy and for the Savignanese soccer team.

 


Warren Hammer, DC, DABCO

Warren Hammer DC, MS, DABCO has been in practice in Norwalk, Connecticut for the past 50  years. He has studied numerous soft-tissue methods and applies them to the practice of chiropractic. He has lectured nationally and internationally and recently completed his third edition of Functional Soft-Tissue Examination and Treatment by Manual Methods  available from Jones & Bartlett publishers.

Dr. Hammer writes a regular column for Dynamic Chiropractic and has written articles for prominent journals such as Chiropractic Sports Medicine, the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, Chiropractic Technique and the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies. He was the English editor for Dr. Carla Stecco’s book Functional Atlas of the Human Fascial System. Dr. Hammer introduced Fascial Manipulation to the U.S. in 2011.


Antonio Stecco, MD

Dr. Antonio Stecco is a world-class authority on soft tissue, and especially the fascial system.  Followingthe techniques developed by his father, Luigi Stecco, PT, Dr. Stecco collaborated with his sister, Carla Stecco, MD and authored Fascial Manipulation for Musculoskeletal Pain (Piccin, 2004). It attracted worldwide attention from myofascial therapists to bodywork instructors. The authors based their model of therapeutic technique on thousands of hours of anatomical cadaver research.

Dr. Stecco was recently elected Assistant-President in the Cabinet of the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is also the author of 10 articles in journals, all relating to the category of disciplinary scientific sector MED/34, five abstracts presented at national conferences, 12 abstracts presented at international conferences, including one Best Poster Award and three chapters in English text.


Edward Traum, DC

Dr. Edward Traum earned his BS in finance and economics in 1988 at California State University, Chico.  After a short term working in finance, he entered the Peace Corps in 1990 where he served for two years in the Dominican Republic.  His projects included the creation of an English course for a local nonprofit organization, management of a nonprofit micro-entrepreneur servicing group, and assisting in clinical work at a small health center with a medical doctor, acupuncturist and chiropractor.  Upon return to the United States in 1992, he completed pre-medical studies and entered Chiropractic school in 1994 at the University of Wester States.  He started a private practice with his wife, Dr. Pamela Traum, in Tempe Arizona in 1998 and joined the Phoenix Fire Department in 2001 where he is an EMT and engineer on Ladder 22.  His clinical practice focuses on manual techniques with an emphasis on fascial work.  He has studied with Dr. Antonio Stecco for 6 years and is a certified teacher of Fascial Manipulation.  He teaches FM in the United States, Mexico and China.
